Sunday Ramblings

So I decided to join a link up! It's called Stream of Consciousness Sunday. Basically you have five minutes to get whatever is in your head onto paper, or screen, or whatever. Let's just say five minutes is not long enough for me...but I shall limit myself and only do five minutes. Enough said.

The prompt this week was a quote by Effie Trinket from the Hunger Games: "It's going to be a big, big day!"

Here goes:

A big day, huh? Says who?

What makes a day big or small, good or bad?

Do we decide when we go to bed the night before whether or not the next day is going to be a good day?

What about when we wake up in the morning and hit the snooze button five times before we drag our sorry, sleepy self out from under the warm covers? Do we decide then?

Does the “size” of the day depend on the schedule, or our attitude?

Hmmm. Yes.

Perhaps we shrink our days with our puny, grumbly, discontent attitudes.  At least I do.

I need to get my eyes off of everything that is not going right and focus on all the little things that are.

I need to fill my days chock-full of gratitude.

Well there you go, short and sweet! I will get the hang of this...

(Thanks to my brother who helped technically-challenged me to get the button working...)

  3. Hi, Grace! Thanks for joining in our linkUP! (Awesome to have new linkers!!) Loved your stream. Very thought provoking, because in essance, yes we are usually in control of how we view our weeks. But sometimes they do spiral out of our control! :)

    1. I'm glad I did! I will definitely be doing more in the future. Thank you! Yes, not everything can be solved by a good attitude but it certainly helps! There's no attitude like gratitude! :)
